Policies and Guidelines

Registration Policy

  • SEASON: Our season runs from August 18, 2025-June 13, 2026.  Tuition is based on a 41-week dance year and is not prorated by month. Payments can be made in full, quarterly, or in 11 equal monthly installments for your convenience. Monthly payments do not vary based on the number of classes in a month. 
  •  LATE FEE:  Tuition is due by the 10th of each month. A late fee of $20 will be applied to any payments received after this date.   
  • REGISTRATION FEE:
    • $45.00 per dancer
    • $55.00 each additional family member 
  • CUSTOMER PORTAL: 
    • Dance Studio Pro:

 All students must have an active profile. You may access the customer portal at any time to view your account, make payments, or update your information. 


Dress Code

  •  All students are required to wear the appropriate class uniform for each dance class. Proper dance attire ensures safety, discipline, and helps instructors provide the best feedback. This policy will be strictly enforced. 

  

Black dancewear and dance shoes are required during each class. 

DCM leotards will be available for purchase. 



Withdrawal Policy

  

  •  To withdraw from a class, written notice must be submitted to the studio at least 15 days before the next billing cycle. Verbal notice will not be accepted. Tuition will continue to be charged until written notice is received. No refunds or credits will be issued for missed classes or mid-month withdrawals. 

Visitors/Guests

  

  • A student's friends or relative are only allowed to visit class with prior permission by Instructor. 


Safety and Release of Liability

  



  • We understand dance can be a strenuous activity and accept responsibility for any injuries my child may incur while participating in any activity at The Dance Company of Mobile.  DCM and its employees are not liable for personal injury, or loss of or damage to personal property. 
  •  By signing this agreement, you voluntarily agree to assume all of the foregoing risks and accept sole responsibility for any injury to your child(ren) or myself (including, but not limited to, personal injury, disability, and death), illness, infectious diseases (currently known or unknown), damage, loss, claim, liability, or expense, of any kind, that you or your child(ren) may experience or incur in connection with your child(ren)'s attendance at DCM. On your behalf, and on behalf of your children, you hereby release, covenant not to sue, discharge, and hold harmless DCM, its employees, agents, and representatives, of and from the Claims, including all liabilities, claims, actions, damages, costs or expenses of any kind arising out of or relating thereto. you understand and agree that this release includes any Claims based on the actions, omissions, or negligence of DCM, its employees, agents, and representatives, whether a known or other currently unknown virus infection occurs before, during, or after participation in any DCM program or class.  
  • Parents, please remind your dancer(s) to remain inside the studio before class and until picked up. They are not allowed to stand outside or to leave the studio once they have been dropped off for classes.  Monitor your children while in the lobby area of the studio. No dancer or children should be sitting at the information desk in lobby area.  To reduce noise, please bring headphones if your child is utilizing electronic devices.   

Attendance/Attitude

  

  • To continue our spectacular performances  and to avoid distractions, it is imperative that you have your dancer at the studio, on time, ready to dance and with a positive attitude. This prevents any ill will, disappointments,  interruptions for instructor and other dancers. Here at DCM, we strive for positivity, encouragement, constructive criticism, patience, positive feedback and sisterhood

  • CLOSED-Labor Day September 1, 2025
  • CLOSED-Veteran's Day November 11, 2025
  • CLOSED-MCPSS Thanksgiving Break November 24-28, 2025
  • CLOSED-MCPSS Christmas Break December 22, 2025-January 2, 2026
  • CLOSED-Martin Luther King Jr. Day January 19, 2026
  • CLOSED-President's Day/Mardi Gras Break February 16-20, 2026
  • CLOSED-MCPSS Spring Break April 13-17, 2026
